What a special wedding this was!… This will be my final blog post on family weddings, as this is the last wedding in my family. The final boy Paul ( a twin). Catriona and Paul are two very special people. I met Catriona five or so years ago, through a good friend of mine Deirdre, and one night the girls called me and asked me to met them for a few drinks in Ballymahon. At the time my brother Paul was single and he had just come home from work. I also knew Catriona was single and thought hmm.. ” wouldn’t they make a nice couple” Maybe I should invite Paul out and see what happens. I also thought very highly of Catriona and like anyone whom cares about someone, you wish for them to meet a partner , whom will love and care for them , and I too wished this for my brother. So they met that night and the rest is history.
The funny part of the story is Catriona has the same surname as my brother “Cassells” so she doesn’t even have to change her surname. Fantastic …
When Paul announced they were engaged, we were all over the moon, everyone can see they are perfect for each other. Two kind loving caring people, that would do anything for anyone. I believe that this is the Key to any happy relationship. not being selfish and caring for each other. This is certainly the case with Catriona and Paul.
I give you all a brief synopises of their wedding day. When I arrived to captured Catriona getting ready , I nearly cried to see how beautiful she looked in her wedding dress. The details and OMG the shoes are to die for.. Catriona’s bridesmaids were so nice and so helpful towards Catriona. and great craic also.
I luckily captured photos os Catriona outside her home before she left for the church. The weather really was not great, a day where is rained then stopped then rained then stopped. So I had to move fast throughout parts of the day.
When I arrived at the church I was so excited to see my brother. wow! did he and my other three brothers scrub up well. The church ceremony went very well. and the love and moments between both of them is a memory captured forever.
The ice cream van went down a treat outside for all the guests, and it was actually sunny for that brief half hour. However when we arrived at Lough Rynn Castle, it was raining.. The atmosphere inside was so relaxed and chilled and everyone enjoyed the drinks reception. I carried on with the remaining photos, families and the bridal party and couple shots in the garden. It didn’t stop raining unfortunately so luckily the castle has stunning interiors which I used for the remaining amount of images.
As I was also a guest, I relaxed for the evening , but not missing to capture the speeches and first dance. All their guests enjoyed their wedding and the dance floor was full all night. I can truly say this was an amazing wedding for me to capture. I wish you both Catriona and Paul , A Life Full of Love Health and Happiness..
